Dahl’s rep confirmed that the designer has since moved out of the actress’ home in Los Angeles, California’s Silver Lake neighbourhood.

“After two wonderful years together, Ruby and I have made a decision to part ways”, the statement read.

Rose shared the couple’s cute engagement story on Instagram previous year, saying that Dahl – who is the granddaughter of children’s author Roald Dahl – turned the tables on her after rejecting her proposal three times.

“As it turns out we love being engaged, and I love the word ‘fiancée.’ It’s actually nice that we do wait that extra year and get to enjoy being engaged before we ball-and-chain it.”

According to sources at US Weekly, the split is completely amicable and that the distance between each of them while working was putting a strain on their relationship.

“I will forever treasure our time together”, Rose continued.

Ruby and Phoebe got engaged in March 2014 after just three months of dating, and the fashion designer previously told HELLO! “Our break shouldn’t be the results of any media speculation, & we want nothing still the most effective for one another. They say, ‘it’s better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.’ I’m lucky to have had the chance to love her”. “Thanks for respecting our privacy in this very troublesome time”.

Ex-fiancé Phoebe Dahl launched a charitable clothing line Faircloth and Supply that donates a school uniform to a girl in Nepal after every garment sold. Scan-dahl-ous! “It sounds corny, but it was love at first sight”, Dahl told Out magazine of meeting Rose.

However, Rose’s rising public profile soon put wedding plans on the back burner, after she landed a lead role in “Orange Is The New Black”. The over-eating? The rush to the shops to buy each other a present which somehow has to encapsulate all the love and adoration you have for another while still disguising any of the mutual loathing?
