Previously, Swift mentioned that Apple was not paying producers, artists and writers during the three-month trial period of Apple Music, which may have partly pushed the exclusive deal between the company and the country singer for the concert video.

Taylor Swift and Apple have a complicated relationship.

Yesterday, Beats 1, Apple’s Internet radio station, was also to broadcast an interview with Swift conducted by Zane Lowe, the influential BBC DJ who joined Apple this year to lead the station.

In the film, Swift talks about reaching out to fellow musicians to appear on her tour.

Taylor jetted back to Los Angeles early on Sunday, after wrapping the final show of her seven-month 1989 tour in Melbourne, Australia on Saturday (12Dec15).

The film, directed by Jonas Akerlund, will be available on Apple’s streaming service from 20 December (15).

Swift, who turned 26 on Sunday, tweeted a trailer for the concert video and thanked her fans for the birthday wishes, saying she had a little surprise for them all.

I think Id be leaving a huge part out if I didnt mention the blog post that I wrote.

But after she posted her message, Apple Music renegotiated their contract with artists and was able to convince Swift to rethink her intent to stay away from them.

The streaming service will exclusively showcase interviews and the singer’s rehearsals in the film.

The letter did the job and a few hours later, Apple announced that it would pay the artists during the free trial period as well.

Taylor Swift has been an outspoken critic of free music streaming.
