‘My heart is broken.’ Mark Wright pays tribute to TOWIE’s Nanny Pat

Ex TOWIE star Charlie King also paid tribute, writing on Twitter: “Gutted to hear about the passing of Nanny Pat”.

Mother to Carol Wright and grandmother to Mark and Jessica, she was well known for her cooking and her advice to those on the ITVBe programme.

Lewis Bloor wrote: “My thoughts are with the Wright family today sorry to hear this bad news”.

In a statement her family said she passed away after a short illness. “Thinking about all of the Wright family”.

In the emotional episode, she broke down in tears when her granddaughter Jess presented her with a picture of her late husband Charles Brooker.

“He’s everywhere”, she smiled sadly.

Our thoughts are with her family at this sad time.

ITV has said that the show is still set to air as planned and does not feature any scenes with Nanny Pat.

Jessica Wright revealed that the family had returned from a Christmas trip to NY on hearing the news. She’d so many awesome moments on the truth TV show and in addition appeared on the likes of Celeb Juice, where she’d everybody in stitches.

In 2012, she released her own book entitled Penny Sweets and Cobbled Streets: My East End Childhood. The time cheeky Mark got his dear old Nan to do his ironing for him!

As a young woman, Pat worked at the Tate & Lyle sugar factory in Canning Town.
