Hernandez blames Van Gaal for leaving United

Manchester United are increasingly concerned about disenchantment with Louis van Gaal’s managerial approach among the players and will discuss the situation just before the January transfer window, sources have told ESPN FC.

He was loaned out by Van Gaal to Real Madrid for the 2014-15 season.

“I felt confident from the very first day”, Hernandez said.

Hernandez has enjoyed an excellent start to life at the Bayer Arena, with 17 goals in 20 appearances so far this season, while United have been struggling in front of goal.

Hernandez joined United in 2010 from Guadalajara and was named their player of the year in his debut campaign at Old Trafford under Sir Alex Ferguson.

I didn’t have the intention to leave [on loan] but I wanted to more playing time. “I had an incredible start, full of opportunities, although those opportunities dwindled over time and things took a turn for the worse”, Hernandez added.

“I could say different reasons, I could talk a lot, but at the end of the day it’s about the results”. I think he is the best manager in history.

Van Gaal is reportedly facing a dressing room revolt from his players, who are unhappy with the wretched run of form. Please note that comments are automatically checked for inappropriate language and will be removed accordingly.

Speaking about why he departed the Red Devils, the 27-year-old insisted that Van Gaal’s revelation gave him little option but to move on.

United have not won any of their last five matches, dropping to fourth place in the Premier League and exiting the Champions League. One source close to events at Carrington has told Goal that the current mood around the first-team squad is the lowest he’s ever known it, with the players seemingly having lost all appetite for Van Gaal’s much trumpeted “philosophy”.

But Valencia winger Sofiane Feghouli is out of contract in the summer and could be available for a cut-price fee, while United must go all out for a prolific striker, with French worldwide Alexandre Lacazette a wonderful – if unlikely – option.
