Barrett Baber Places Third on “The Voice”

The judges are not the only ones raving about Smith, fans are posting on social media about how much the young artist has inspired them through his music.

Roberts’ collaboration with Blake Shelton to sing “Islands in the Stream” was one of the highlights of Monday night’s performance finale. Everyone right from celebrities, to the finalists of the show and its fans, had hearty congratulations lined up for the awesome singer. Pharrell and Levine praised Smith’s humility. The aspiring pop singer’s cover of the Christmas tune first recorded by Christian recording artist Michael English unseated Adele’s Hello from the number one spot on the chart. The best singer should win a singing contest, and he is impeccable. Their voices were a little too low in the mix for a show literally called The Voice, but when you could hear them the blend was so rich and satisfying…it’s easy to forget these two are just 24 and 16 years old. “That was so handsome and I’m so happy for you”.

Smith comes from a humble town in Harlan County but he managed to out-perform his contenders who were already professionals in their local scenes. “You’re going to inspire someone to pick it back up”. Oh, Gwen, you crack us up!

After three months bursting with brilliance, heartbreak and moments of vulnerability, only Jordan Smith remained standing at the end of it all.
