Mother, newborn injured in attack; poll confirms most Palestinians support stabbings
The PSR survey, which interviewed 1,270 people in 127 randomly selected locations, showed just 45% of Palestinians support the two-state solution and only 34% think it is feasible because of the expansion of Israeli settlements in the West Bank. At least 115 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli fire, of whom 78 Israel has identified as assailants.

Eleven Israelis were injured yesterday, including an 18-month-old toddler, after a Palestinian man armed with an axe rammed his auto into a bus stop on a crowded Jerusalem street.
Israeli police say two people are injured after a Palestinian construction worker beat them at two building sites in central Israel.
But he also said that proofs were still lacking nearly five months after the attack in the West Bank village of Duma and recent arrests of suspects.
Witnesses said Israeli forces detained the child, who was about to enter a market near the Flowers Gate of the Old City, and took him to a nearby Israeli police station.
“That’s not surprising because Abu Mazen is continuing constantly to stir things up with false propaganda about Al-Aqsa, false propaganda about executions and by rejecting any genuine attempt at coming to negotiations”, Netanyahu also said, referring to the Palestinian Authority’s president, Mahmoud Abbas.
More than half of the Palestinian fatalities have been alleged attackers, while others have been shot dead by Israeli security forces during clashes.
“We know who were responsible for carrying out the act, but there is still not enough evidence to try them”, he said.
“The unacceptable wave of stabbings, shootings and vehicle rammings continues to kill and injure Israelis”, she said, warning though that “the response from Israeli security forces has resulted in alleged attackers, protesters and even bystanders being killed and injured”.

Although Palestinians agree with the message issued by Mr Abbas, support for the ageing leader is dwindling.
