The baby boy arrived over the weekend but Kim Kardashian and husband Kanye West have kept schtum about the name until now.
On her website, the reality star made the announcement with a simple post. She wrote alongside it: ‘Saint West, 12.05.15, 8 pounds 1 ounce’.
It’s not clear where the inspiration hailed from, but there was speculation that the child’s name was Robert, after Kardashian’s late father.
That’s because sources say Cedars-Sinai Medical Center has a five-day deadline for parents to name their child – and that includes the day the little one was born! After all, they’ve been preparing for quite some time. Unnamed sources revealed to TMZ that Kardashian had something called placenta accreta that’s why it took baby boy Saint West a really long time to make his first appearance.
When asked what she now “dislikes” in a Q&A, she answered: ‘All baby names I am hearing.
“Ready whenever you are lol”, Kardashian posted as a caption to the shared image on her Instagram account kimkardashian on Friday, Dec. 4.
A majority of social media users seem confused about Kardashian and West’s choice.
The socialite said; ‘I don’t like South West because that’s like, you know, North will always, you know, be better and be more… she has a better direction’. “Buy a baby book for the love of God”.
Despite Kim’s reluctance to let her children be filmed, the 35-year-old has been more than happy to share every detail about her pregnancy with fans.
According to the website Babycenter, Saint is the 4733th most popular baby name in the U.S., have risen from 7214th a year ago. Things weren’t easy for Kim during her labor with son Saint.

“In a very rare case, I might need a hysterectomy after delivery if my condition is severe enough, but luckily my doctor doesn’t think this will happen”.
