CBI Raid Row: AAP Alleges Major Corruption in DDCA Under Jaitley
In separate press conferences here, both the Congress and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) had earlier demanded Jaitley’s resignation for a fair and impartial inquiry into the DDCA irregularities.

Reacting to the AAP allegations, Jaitley said: “They can tell me what is the specific issue and I can answer it. I can’t answer a vague allegation without any basis”.
“A state government and party which is in the dock for having supported corruption and having interfered in an investigation in this manner can’t really deflect the issue without any basis”, the minister added.
This is to be noted that Delhi’s ruling AAP made the accusation two days after the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) raided Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s office building. The Congress demanded a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) probe into the alleged financial irregularities during Jaitley’s tenure as the DDCA chief. “So he should immediately tender resignation”, AAP leader Sanjay Singh tweeted.
The agency has reiterated that the “Delhi Chief Minister’s office wasn’t raided”.
Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Ajay Maken, said “The DDCA irregularity is a very serious matter, and thus, serious examination should be done and serious action should be taken”.
Maken also targeted Kejriwal for not acting on the report submitted by a three-member committee last month. The integrity of Arun Jaitley is too well-known in the entire world.
“This scam was about siphoning off money by creating fake companies between 1999 and 2013 and one year after that”.
He alleged DDCA has illegally constructed 10 corporate boxes in the stadium and have sub -leased these boxes for 10 years to corporates for a collective approximate amount of Rs 36 crore. All this, according to the report, has happened at the time Mr. Jaitley was the chairman of DDCA.
Addressing media, AAP leader Raghav Chadha claimed, “DDCA had a budget of Rs 24 crore but additional Rs 90 crore was also spent”.
“Indian National Congress draws attention of people of India to the farcical vendetta game and the diabolically convenient mutual side show being played with the sole aim of saving Shri Arun Jaitley and his colleague office bearers of DDCA from speedy inquiry and prosecution for serious financial irregularities”, the Congress said in a statement.
