Palestinians killed in West Bank attack, clashes
Three Palestinians were killed on Friday by Israel in clashes and car-ramming attack in the West Bank and Gaza, medical sources said.

The violence spread to the Gaza Strip, controlled by Islamist group Hamas, where Palestinians massed at the fenced-off border with Israel on Friday, throwing rocks at troops beyond.
An Israeli army spokesperson said “a Palestinian attempted to ram his vehicle into [Israeli] security forces near Hebron”, adding that Israeli forces responded to the “imminent threat” and opened fire, killing the man.

“An armed Palestinian assailant fired shots on the Gilboa crossing from several dozen metres (yards) away”, said the ministry, which employs civilian guards at the site. None were wounded, and the assailant was shot and initially fled before he was apprehended by Palestinian security forces.
“No casualties or damage have been reported to the crossing or its operators”.
The surrounding area has become a focal point for protests in this latest outbreak of unrest which has now lasted more than two months, costing 20 Jewish, and more than 110 Palestinian lives.
PPS said that Israeli forces resorted to “shoot to kill” methods rather than detaining Palestinians who are under the suspicion of carrying out attacks on Israeli targets.
On Friday, protesters in Silwad northeast of Ramallah called for Israel to return the bodies.

Three Palestinians were shot during the clashes, one resident said. The military said forces tried to disperse the riot with nonlethal means before firing “towards inciting characters”.
