Eligible users can download the FiOS app from the iTunes App Store or Google Play and start streaming recorded content immediately.

Before customers get their hopes up, though, note that Verizon did not clarify which content is not permitted to be streamed.

United States operator Verizon has updated the Fios Mobile app, to allow Fios Quantum TV and Fios Internet customer to stream almost all of their DVR-recorded shows from anywhere they have an internet connection. The company officially announced that the new Fios Quantum TV Mobility service is available throughout the market, as the company has improved largely on its services throughout November.

What is notable as well with the new update is that the mobile app now provides support for live TV streaming. Ms. Retta added, “These new features allow our customers to take their home Fios TV experience with them and to enjoy it whenever and wherever they go”. Verizon writes that most cable providers do not offer to take the TV viewing experience outside the home.

In addition, the Verizon FiOS subscribers will also now be able to stream live TV channels on their mobile devices. You can always record that shows you may be missing and when you have the time, access them to watch even when you’re on the road. At home, for instance, it can be used as your TV’s remote control and to set parental controls.
