Taylor Swift to Release ‘1989 World Tour Live’ Concert Film
For those of you who might have been living under a rock this weekend, Taylor Swift celebrated her 26th birthday on Sunday – a day after she wrapped her 1989 World Tour in Melbourne. Not to worry. On December 20th, The 1989 World Tour LIVE concert film will be coming to you -available to be streamed and downloaded on Apple Music from the comfort of your living room.

“Thank you so much for all the birthday wishes”, the singer tweeted, “I have a little surprise for you”. Though the first time was a less conventional alliance, when Swift hit out at the tech firm’s plans to pay no royalties during the three month free trial period of its streaming platform, securing an nearly immediate back down by Apple bosses, and ensuring them front page news coverage of their new service worldwide. The concert, in which she performs before 76,000 people, is directed by Jonas Akerlund, and features Swift’s performance in Sydney at the ANZ Stadium, recorded on November 28. Apple did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
