“It’ll help the movie get out there, ‘” said Adam McKay, director of “The Big Short”. Close behind were Starz with seven, and Amazon and FX with five apiece.

Leonardo DiCaprio for “The Revenant”, Eddie Redmayne for “The Danish Girl”, Michael Fassbender for “Steve Jobs”, Will Smith for “Concussion” and Bryan Cranston for “Trumbo”.
Besides those three, the only star who get a double nomination is Alicia Vikander.
“The big made-for-Oscars studio contenders are falling out”, I’Neil stated, citing Focus Features’ “The Danish Girl”, Universal Pictures’ “Steve Jobs” and Disney’s Tom Hanks film “Bridge of Spies”. “Actor Jeffrey Tambor was nominated in both awards” Male Actor, Comedy categories, while the show as a whole was nominated for a Best TV Series, Comedy Golden Globe and an Outstanding Ensemble Performance, Comedy SAG Award.
The Hollywood Foreign Press Association is known for playing by its own mysterious rules, and this year’s Golden Globe nominations proved no exception.
Netflix’s first original film Beasts of No Nation gave the online streaming service its final nom, as well as a first as a film distributor. – “Jane the Virgin” star Gina Rodriguez on her nod for best actress in a TV comedy.
In addition to last year’s victor, “Transparent”, and Netflix’s “Orange is the New Black”, a perennial nominee, the HFPA also honored Hulu’s “Casual”, a comedy about a woman who moves in with her bachelor brother after a divorce, and Amazon’s “Mozart in the Jungle”, set in the classical music world.
They are: “Anomalisa”, “Inside Out”, “The Good Dinosaur”, “The Peanuts Movie” and “Shaun the Sheep Movie”.
While many were tipping Rampling for a Best Actress Oscar nod for her performance, she and the film as a whole was overlooked when the nominations were announced.
And add Hulu to the streaming services getting awards recognition.
Also nominated in the best television drama series are “Mr Robot”, “Narcos” and “Outlander”.
