We’ve had the glitzy Hollywood shindig but Thursday night saw the United Kingdom premiere of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Director J.J. Abrams said he was struck every day while filming by how lucky he was to be working on the film.

Variety’s chief film critic Justin Chang called it “by any measure a rousing, even restorative seventh chapter in the immortal space-opera saga”.

But it serves me in a different way and I am invested in it in a different way than the fans are. He said, ‘How do you do this?

“I know that they have policies now at most theaters”, said West. “You don’t have to be so scared that you don’t do things”.

The man who many fans believe to be Rey’s father, Harrison Ford, says he avoids reading their plot predictions entirely: “I just don’t do that but I’m glad people are interested”.

Do you still fly planes after your recent crash?

“This story has followed me from the beginning, not just me, but also my children”, said Max Von Sydow. Right? What am I missing here? I have been flying ever since.
