Film director Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus “Bajirao Mastani” has been the talk of the town ever since its inception. At that time, it becomes my job to make up (for him). A quintessentially Sanjay Leela Bhansali film, this one promises to be an intense visual cinematic treat showcasing snippets from the past, with battle scenes, costumes exuding a historical feel, and palatial sets. I’ve worked with both directors and I know that what both of them have to offer are really different.

Set to release on December 18th, the Sanjay Leela Bhansali directed historical epic about a Peshwa warrior and his love stories also stars Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone. Though this is not the first time she has ventured into the genre as she did Ashutosh Gowariker’s Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey (2010) in 2010, the grandeur and the hype around Bajirao Mastani is bigger.

It shows the grandeur of the gallant Bajirao, the passion of Mastani, the loyalty of Kashibai and tempestuous love-story of Bajirao and Mastani with a backdrop of war-all in a span of 3 minutes.
