BJP leader Dr Subramanian Swamy had filed a criminal case of cheating and misappropriation against them in February a year ago for allegedly usurping the defunct English daily National Herald’s owner Associated Journals Limited’s (AJL) property worth crores of rupees by forming a company in the name of Young India Limited. “And if they are saying “vendetta”, that means Congress is blaming the judiciary”, Rathore said.

Reacting to the court order, Sonia Gandhi has reportedly said “I am Indira Gandhi’s daughter-in-law”.

Just when it looked like a compromise on GST was in reach, the court’s order for the Gandhis to testify on December 19 appears to have pushed things back further.

Furious Congress members stormed the wells of both Houses of Parliament, alleging a “political vendetta” by Mr Modi who has moved to weaken the legacy of the Gandhis since he dislodged them from power a year ago.
