Seahawks release RB Harris, place Rawls on IR
But for the first time since the early stages of Carroll’s tenure, the Seahawks’ running game has serious question marks.

Rawls suffered a broken ankle and torn ankle ligaments in the first quarter of Sunday’s win over the Ravens.
The Seattle Seahawks are trying to figure out their run game heading into Week 15.
The Seattle Seahawks have signed former second-round draft pick Christine Michael to bolster an offensive backfield thinned by injuries to Marshawn Lynch and Thomas Rawls.
The Seahawks traded the 25-year-old Michael to the Cowboys on September 6 when they chose Rawls over him to back up Lynch to begin the season.
DuJuan Harris was waived after carrying 18 times for 42 yards against the Ravens last week. If we can keep playing games, it’ll help. So, we’re going to pull the trigger, put those guys outside, let “Webby” go in there where he belongs, let him play the nickel, let him play free safety.
The Seahawks got some encouraging news with tight end Luke Willson, who was able to practice on a limited basis Wednesday despite a rib injury he sustained against Baltimore. “Just have to evaluate myself, and I’ve just got to do things right”.
Since Michael didn’t play special teams, it also meant he was inactive for games fairly often.
Michael palyed in 14 games in two seasons with the Seahawks, rushing 52 times for 254 yards.
Rice claims that he has remained in shape throughout his time away from football, and if that is the case Seattle should bring him in for a workout. Sadly, there is a good reason that some of the players shouldn’t be on the field, but in a lost season, there is little you can do but give them a chance. “That’s all I want to do”, Michael said Wednesday. “He did run on the sidelines and looked pretty good for the first day back”. Receiver Tyler Lockett also had 104 receiving yards and two touchdowns, including a 49-yard grab. Rawls had been sublime in relief of Lynch, who has missed six games this season due to hamstring and abdominal injuries. He’s got a chance to get back.

Through the Seahawks’ first nine games, Russell Wilson was averaging 235 yards passing and had 10 touchdowns and seven interceptions. The Ravens must win one of their last three games – starting Sunday at home against Kansas City – to avoid matching the worst record in franchise history. This leads to the idea that the Seahawks should give Ray Rice an opportunity to earn a roster spot. The Seahawks are hoping defensive end Michael Bennett (toe) and cornerbacks Deshawn Shead and Marcus Burley (both ankle), who all were dinged against the Ravens, will be able to play against the Browns…. Seattle had 255 yards rushing in Week 11 vs. San Francisco; 100 yards in Week 12 vs. Pittsburgh; 173 yards in Week 13 at Minnesota; and 123 yards last Sunday at Baltimore.
