“Arun Jaitley is involved in the corruption in DDCA”, AAP’s Kumar Vishwas told the media here. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi must ask Jaitley to resign to ensure fair probe as some of the competent agencies to invstigate the are under Finance Ministry”, said AAP Spokesperson Raghav Chadha, flanked by a number of other leaders.

Keeping up the attack on Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, AAP today alleged huge financial bunglings in DDCA during his 13 year-old tenure as its chief, saying large amounts were siphoned off through fake companies besides other irregularies including in team selection.

“They were paying five companies which have the same address, same e-mail IDs and same directors”, said the AAP leader, alleging that for construction of a portion of the stadium, DDCA got Rs 24-crore worth projects sanctioned, but later paid Rs 114 crore.

Quoting a news report on BJP general secretary Ram Lal allegedly asking party parliamentarian Kirti Azad not to comment on the DDCA issue, Kejriwal asked, “Is this true?”

Reaching out to the Congress, Jaitley said the party should think about the legacy it would leave behind by not supporting the measure when there is a need to strengthen the economy to shield it from global headwinds. “It was given to EPIL, so I absolutely rubbish the charges”, he said. Parliamentary Affairs Minister and BJP leader M. Venkaiah Naidu said: “There is no question of the resignation of Jaitley”.

He repeats endlessly that I misled the Parliament on the Delhi raid and that he has a series of allegations to make against me in relation to my tenure as President of the DDCA – Delhi’s cricket body.

One person needs to blamed for all these irregularities, has to be Arun Jaitley who was DDCA’s president from 1999 to 2013.

Stadium is made of Rs 141 crore.

“We had to tell them we brought you to advice and not take over”, Chauhan said.

Singh also said that Congress was for a probe into the alleged scam in DDCA.

Naidu said: “This is an absurd issue and it has no relevance at all”. The Jawahar Lal Nehru stadium was renovated at a cost of over Rs. 900 crores and Dhyan Chand stadium was renovated at a cost of over Rs. 600 crores.

DDCA treasurer Ravinder Manchanda said that the report they (AAP) are showing was of DDCA’s Fact Finding Committee. Arvind Kejriwal, seems to believe in untruth and defamation, delivered in a language that borders on hysteria.
