Hsaid: “I think the new investment and the new television deal will allow any team to have their own ways and their own reasons to be competitive”.
The victory moved Claudio Ranieri’s side two points clear at the top of the table with just two games to go before the halfway point in the season.
Despite the relatively comfortable win over Jose Mourinho’s struggling team, Ranieri also suggested that his team had to fight to gain their outstanding result.
Manager Claudio Ranieri has now confirmed the Ghana global could be out for over a month. “I am happy that I signed for Leicester”.
The midfielder picked up a knew injury in the 3-3 draw with Bournemouth and has since missed the win over Middlesbrough and the draw with Norwich City.
Leicester City defender Jeffrey Schlupp could be out for six weeks.
Their challenge has been spearheaded by top scorer Jamie Vardy, above, and winger Riyad Mahrez, the pair purchased for a combined fee of €1.9 million.
Close-season signings such as N’Golo Kante and Christian Fuchs have slotted in seamlessly, but another important factor has been continuity.
Now they have incredible belief, they are going out there believing they can win and when you have that momentum it can be very, very powerful.
He is resolute that neither Vardy nor Mahrez will leave in January, declaring that they “don’t have a price”, but the club’s Thai owners are likely to have their resolve tested in that regard.
Leicester are a very good team who deserve to be top.
