Conor McGregor stops Jose Aldo in 13 seconds

McGregor has had his eye on moving up from featherweight (145 pounds) to lightweight (155 pounds) for awhile, meaning he could fight the victor of this week’s title bout between Rafael dos Anjos and Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone. Mystic Mc strikes again.

McGregor has always had aspirations to fight at lightweight, but his coach, John Kavanagh, wants him to move up due to the severity of the weight cut.

‘Of course, I want a rematch, and I think I have this right.

And a video of the shock on both of the fighters’ teams’ faces as McGregor sucker punched Aldo with a terrific left is particularly telling of the overwhelming emotions felt by both camps. “Now I’m waiting for the rematch there, and if it’s God’s will on the next one, I’ll be much more trained, and I will reclaim what is mine”. He was also considered the best fighter in the world after the loss of Anderson Silva and the suspension of Jon Jones earlier in the year.

Everyone is expecting a close fight between the two given the way they traded jabs at each in the media. “That’s ok. I already accepted it. Now I’ll go back to the gym, train harder and bounce back”. And the crowd-many of them Irish McGregor fans who’d journeyed to Vegas to see their countryman do his thing-went nuts.

‘I do think the next one will be lightweight for the title, ‘ he told The MMA Hour. “The belts will still be active because I am active”.

Wherever he ends up in 2016, McGregor will remain unshakably confident in his fists and their ability to make his wildest predictions come true. “Nobody can take that left-hand shot”.

If McGregor has broken his left wrist, he will not be allowed fight until June 12th next year, which is six months to the day after the Aldo win.

“I said to [UFC co-owner] Lorenzo [Fertitta], and I said to [UFC president] Dana [White], I’m bringing in these big numbers”, McGregor continued. Who comes in and predicts one-round KOs?
