Seattle Seahawks: Bold predictions for Week 15

But last offseason Manziel checked into 10 weeks of rehab, and Gordon was banned from the NFL for at least one year on February 3 for violating the league’s substance abuse policy. Manziel can’t bank on that type of ground support this week with Seattle entering with the league’s second-ranked run defense, having allowed 59 combined yards on the ground the past two games. Manziel went to rehab around the same time Gordon was suspended and says he’s remained in “constant contact” with a player he hopes to play with during the 2016 season. I don’t get too wrapped up in that. We still have his rights.

Asked to clarify, he said the team would “absolutely” welcome Gordon back if the commissioner reinstates him.

“I think he’s looking to prove something: He might not be thrilled with where he got drafted”, Reid said of McCarron, a 2014 fifth-round draft pick. “I hope he is back in the spring for sure”.

Ahead of Cleveland’s matchup with Seattle on Sunday, Pettine discussed the Super Bowl-winning Wilson, now on one of the hottest streaks of his career with 16 touchdowns and no interceptions in his past four games. You see that in them, and it’s growing.

“I don’t worry about that”, Wilson said during Wednesday’s conference call with Cleveland media members.

Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Pettine said that he does not consider Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson to be in the top tier of National Football League quarterbacks.

“When he’s been forced to get out of the pocket, he’s a threat to scramble for a first down”, Pettine said. “But, no, he has certainly played himself into that next tier”. “I thought you saw one team that wanted to be out there, wanted to compete and wanted to win a football game”, he said. I’m glad that somebody gave me a quick kick in the ass to let me know what’s real and what’s not….

“He has ascended. He plays at a high level”, Pettine said.

Pettine was jokingly asked for his opinion of Seahawks coach Pete Carroll. But he said in another interview Thursday that just one part of his comments were blown up.

“Still not there yet with Hawk, so hopefully have more information on that sooner than later”, Pettine said.

Still, that type of receiver can help out the Browns when trying to stretch the field; instead, though, they’d rather do it with after-catch yardage and speed, such as what Travis Benjamin, Duke Johnson and Gary Barnidge bring to the passing offense.
