Tranquillity doesn’t exist as Real Madrid coach – Figo
The European press is ablaze this morning with the news that Zizou is “at the gates” of Real Madrid.

Zinedine Zidane is the clear fans’ favourite to replace Rafael Benitez as Real Madrid coach should the Spaniard lose his job.
Following on from reports in Spanish paper Marca on Tuesday, French sports daily L’Equipe said on Wednesday that Real Madrid were ready to turn to Zidane if the side suffer another defeat soon.
Benitez had just arrived at the Santiago Bernabeu from Napoli in the summer, but talk about the possible sack of Benitez had already begun after Real Madrid were humiliated 4-0 by Barcelona on home soil.
“We’re conceding fewer goals, but we’ve had chances and haven’t found the target”.
Fernandez has a wealth of experience, having been in charge at Deportivo la Coruna, Real Betis, Celta Vigo, Real Zaragoza, Porto and Tenerife, and some Madridistas believe he may help to bridge the alleged gap in relations between Benitez and the players.
While they topped their Champions League group, Real’s season has also been notable for the club being thrown out of the Copa del Rey for fielding an ineligible player.
And AS point to these standings as a reason why Benitez is increasingly under pressure.

Ultimately, club president Florentino Perez came out and gave his support for the 55-year-old after the defeat, but he may have changed his mind after the team’s most recent loss to Villareal on the weekend.
