If you already bought the ginger brew, the FDA encourages you handle it with care and dispose of it immediately in a container outside.

After it received reports of unopened bottles of its Triple Ginger Brew bursting, Trader Joe’s recalled all codes/lots of the product, the company announced Tuesday. This ginger ale drink is very popular, and comes in flavors such as Gingerbread and Triple Ginger Snaps.

All of the affected bottles have been removed from shelves, and there haven’t been any reported injuries or illnesses. “The potentially affected product was distributed to Trader Joe’s stores nationwide”.

CNN reported that the store recalled the soda when customers complained that some of the unopened bottles were actually “shattering or bursting”.

Trader Joe’s did not say what the cause of the bursting is.

News 10 said that Trader Joe’s will not be selling the Triple Ginger Brew bottles in any of their stores for the remainder of the season. If anyone is having the product and seeks a refund then he can contact the company’s Customer Relations (626) 599-3817 from Monday to Friday 6am to 6pm.

Incidentally, the recall in America triggered a similar recall in Canada as well, reported Yahoo News. The grocery store chain still hasn’t identified the cause of the sudden shattering, however, drinking the beverage itself doesn’t pose any health risks for the consumer.
