Hillary Clinton to propose expanded ‘Buffett rule’ for taxing wealthy
Clinton campaign representatives told various media outlets Wednesday the new tax proposals are aimed at addressing that gap. “As far as I know, no (presidential) candidate has stated a position (with regard to South Carolina)”.

“Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton on Tuesday took a swipe at her Republican rivals” proposals for defeating Islamic State, saying “bluster and bigotry are not credentials for becoming commander in chief”.
Hillary Clinton tackled her “likability problem” head on when she spoke at a campaign event in Omaha, Neb.
Clinton said she wants to implement “The Buffett Rule” that calls for the wealthy to contribute more in taxes.
In a speech at the University of Minnesota, Clinton repeated the pattern she has set in more than a half-dozen states national folks consider the hinterlands. He also said previous year he “would bet money” on Clinton winning the 2016 election. “And I don’t do that easily”. The investment guru’s annual shareholder meeting is dubbed “Woodstock for Capitalists” and drew an overflow crowd of more than 40,000 people from around the globe last spring.
“What he brings to the table is that he’s one of the few highly respected business people who average people view as one of them”, said Marc Lasry, a NY hedge fund manager and Democratic donor.
After praising Clinton for talking about raising incomes and criticizing Republicans for not doing so, Buffett said, “America should work for those who are willing to work”.
“The tech community and the government have to stop seeing each other as adversaries” and start working together, said Mrs Clinton, the leading contender for the Democratic presidential nomination, according to polls.
Late in his first term, Mr. Obama coined the term “The Buffett Rule” after the billionaire investor criticized tax policies that left him paying lower tax rates than his secretary. Her rival, Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont, has made the wage gap and blunting the political power wielded by billionaires central themes of his campaign. “And Hillary, once she is elected, will never forget those”. But Buffett said it was “really important” that Nebraskans in the audience reach out to their neighbors and relatives about voting.
And she also took aim at Donald Trump’s campaign slogan, as she has in recent months.
Clinton also called for stopping “ISIS recruits from training overseas, and prevent foreign jihadists from coming here”, pointing specifically at greater collaboration between and with European countries to track whether people have spent time in Iraq and Syria.
And then there’s the money. In his 2013 “fiscal cliff” tax deal with Republicans in Congress, President Barack Obama returned the top rate to that level – which matched the top rate at the end of the term of Clinton’s husband, President Bill Clinton.
“As you can tell, I don’t have horns”, she hummed.

“I believe strongly we can protect our people without undermining our constitutional rights”, he wrote.
