Jordan Mutch wants more game time for Crystal Palace

It’s an exciting time for Palace fans with this supposed investment secured and the club sitting in sixth in the league; yet there will definitely be some nervous chatter as Palace look at the travails Liverpool, Manchester United and Aston Villa have had with their respective American owners.

Palace manager Alan Pardew says he has spoken to Josh Harris and David Blitzer who are both set to invest in the club.

The pair – who own NBA’s Philadelphia 76ers and the NHL’s New Jersey Devils – are expected to implement a first-phase £50million investment to improve Selhurst Park and help bring in new players.

The deal means Parish, Harris and Blitzer will all have an 18 percent stake at Selhurst Park, but Parish will remain responsible for the day-to-day running of the club and have the final word on all major decisions.

“I have met the potential investors, they have a passion for this football club that reflects mine and that of chairman Steve Parish”, Pardew said.

“It goes alongside the chairman and myself have for the football club and we hope together we can embark on a new era for the football club”.

Parish’s existing partners Stephen Browett, Jeremy Hosking and Martin Long will also continue as shareholders.

“It’s nice of the manager to say that but I’m not going to listen to the rumours”, McArthur said when asked of the Arsenal link. I perhaps have one or two who could go out on loan or move on.

“If it wasn’t that vision he sold me, I probably wouldn’t be here, so Steve Parish deserves a lot of credit for where this football club is”.

“He plays worldwide football for Scotland and he plays a very high level of football for us, so it’s not a testament to Palace, it’s more a testament to James”.

“Certainly we don’t want to lose any of our key players because players like Yannick Bolasie, Yohan Cabaye and Scott Dann are really driving the club forward”.
