Meanwhile, social activist Anna Hazare questioned the CBI’s raid but said Kejriwal should have checked officer Rajendra Kumar’s background before appointing him as his principal secretary.

Kejriwal’s rage in this video doesn’t behoove of a Chief Minister and was indicative of a coming soon exposé and it happened faster than one would have expected.

Allegations against Arun Jaitley very serious.

The CBI is building its case with the help of money recovered from Kumar and another co-accused and the financial transactions under scanner.

Noted Supreme Court lawyer Mohan V Katarki has described the CBI raid on Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s office as unjustified.

“Searching files at the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) and taking some of the files in their custody on Monday evening – what does it all signify?” he asked.

Rajender Kumar has been accused of setting up various companies that were given work contracts without tenders at a huge loss to the Delhi government.

The officer declined to say why the agency took six months to register a case against Rajendra and his associates and waited till now to carry out the search.

The CBI denied allegations that the raiding party touched documents in Kejriwal’s office. “The information is being spread by certain quarters since yesterday (Tuesday) to discredit the agency and with an intent to obstruct the probe”, CBI spokesperson Devpreet Singh told reporters here.

“Can Jaitley ji’s denial in press be taken as gospel truth?”
