The Delhi Chief Minister’s claim comes a day after he demanded that Jaitley should resign or be “removed” from the Union Cabinet to enable holding of an independent probe into alleged corruption in DDCA.

Amid the raid, Kejriwal’s “psychopath” comment, the Centre’s retort, and the apology tug-of-war, the identity of the bureaucrat in question has attracted attention.

Kejriwal insisted that the CBI officials had searched his room too and read the file related to the probe report on the DDCA he had ordered. CBI spokesman Devpreet Singh said searches were conducted with warrants, and that Kejriwal’s office was not searched.

Hundreds of cameras were raised in the air as Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung shook hands and hugged each other. His office in the Delhi Secretariat was raided following complaints made to CBI that certain private companies received benefits from the departments where he was posted over the past few years.

The AAP leader also hit out at the Indian PM Narendra Modi via Twitter.

Kejriwal said his Government had set up an inquiry committee to probe alleged irregularities in DDCA which had submitted its report and he was to set up a Commission of Inquiry to carry out a detailed probe in the wrongdoings in the cricket body.

The Delhi chief minister, who has accused the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) of raiding his office to get hold of a file that “traps” Jaitley, claimed that the allegations against the finance minister are “very, very serious”.

Recounting the sequence of events, J.S. Rawat, the personal secretary to Rajendra, has said the CBI officers had sealed the staircase leading to the third floor where the chief minister’s office is located. “What is his role in DDCA scam”, Kejriwal said in another tweet.

“CBI has already clarified that the office of the Chief Minister Delhi was neither searches nor sealed.”

Jaitley dismissed the allegations and said claims of a government which was creating hurdles in the fight against corruption can not be trusted.
