It’s widely understood that the Spaniard will confirm his intentions to leave Bayern Munich at the end of the season, a move which will likely spark an almighty tug-of-war for his services.

According to Xinhua information, Guardiola has told Bayern Munich that he will leave next summer.

It said Guardiola has repeatedly highlighted that he does not have control over Bayern’s transfer policy and discussed an ongoing row over the medical staff.

An official announcement is due after Saturday’s Bundesliga game at Hannover, but Guardiola revealed at a press conference on Friday that he has made up his mind – and club chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has been informed.

Kicker, citing two separate sources, said Guardiola blamed Braun for the injury during a private meeting, but the doctor said the coach was at fault for rushing players back.

Manchester City are prepared to make Pep Guardiola the highest paid manager in the history of football, according to Italian journalist Tancredi Palmeri.

The money flowing into the league from their new television deal next season (e.g., the Premier League’s last-place finisher next season will earn more in prize money than the victor of the competition this season) has already enticed leading outspoken managers such as Louis van Gaal, Jurgen Klopp, and Jose Mourinho, and Guardiola’s capture would be a major coup for the league. “Ryan Giggs. He knows the philosophy of the club and I know he hasn’t got much experience but he knows the club inside out and he would get people around who know a bit more”.

“Rummenigge and I have said that we will talk after the match, and we speak often”.

Guardiola has had much domestic success since joining Bayern in the summer of 2013, winning two Bundesliga titles, a German Cup and the Club World Cup.

Following Bayern’s 1-0 German Cup victory over Darmstadt at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday, Guardiola says his long-awaited decision is near.

Manchester City believe the 44-year old coach can lead them to the top of European football, while he also has a very close relationship with City Director of Football Txiki Begiristain and CEO Ferran Soriano from their time together at the Camp Nou.
