World champion Tyson Fury, stripped of IBF heavyweight title

TYSON Fury has been stripped of his IBF world heavyweight championship belt less than a fortnight after dethroning Wladimir Klitschko.
Newly crowned heavyweight world boxing champion Tyson Fury waits to answer questions as he hosts a media day in Bolton, England, Monday, Nov. 30, 2015.
The married father-of-two has also come under fire for saying: “A woman’s best place is in the kitchen and on her back”.
“She does get to make some decisions, what’s she’s gonna cook for my tea when I get home”.
Following his recent controversial comments about homosexuality, Greater Manchester Police are investigating allegations of a hate crime.
“But if I’d said to you about the first two being made legal in the ’50s, I’d have been looked upon as a insane man”.
More than 75,000 people have signed a petition calling for the BBC to remove the controversial boxer from the Spoty shortlist.
“Andy is in a hard position because he feels like he may be faced with choosing between his career and his personal beliefs”, he added. I can actually say I don’t hate anybody.
In 2013, Fury challenged UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez and now – although he has reiterated he is not interested in “taking it to the floor” – remains interested in the possibility of taking on MMA’s best under rules that promote the “striking” aspects of the sports.
By Tuesday evening the online petition at Change.org had attracted nearly 98,000 signatures.
“That’s my beliefs, just like I believe in my lord and saviour and if anyone wants to dispute that, let them do it”.
But Peter Fury did admit there should be an apology from Tyson for airing his views in public, as he said: “He gives his opinions”.
“Tyson Fury’s comments are unacceptable and his nomination for Sports Personality of the Year endorses him as a role model”.
“As someone who works in the LGBTI human rights sector I’ve seen first-hand the barriers to sport for LGBTI people”.
A BBC spokesperson told GT: “The nominees for BBC Sports Personality of the Year are decided on their sporting achievements. It is still early and I have to process things but there will definitely be a rematch”, he said.

But when the smoke cleared, Fury did say that all those tirades were simple part of fun and games and that he does hold high regards for the 39-year-old champion.
