Star Wars fans hit the theatres after reminders of costume rules
In San Antonio, Texas, several dozen fans stood in line at dawn on Thursday to watch a 16-hour marathon of the first six movies in the Star Wars franchise to set the mood for seeing The Force Awakens later in the day. The movie ticket service Fandango said it has already sold more tickets for “The Force Awakens” than any movie over its entire theatrical run.

This is it. Since May 4, I have been writing a daily blog counting down the days until the official opening of “Star Wars: Episode VII: The Force Awakens”.

Walt Disney said the film debuted with 14.1 million dollars (£9.4m) from its first screenings on Wednesday in 12 global markets.
“It was wonderful”, Charles said of the new film. The largest was France, where the film earned 5.2 million dollars (£3.5m).
But, the combination of my love for the “Star Wars” franchise with the hunger by fans for any and all news kept me going.
“I walked up from our motel room and just went, ‘Oh crap that’s a lot of media.’ I was expecting one to two cameras but all of you guys coming out here today it’s been great”, said Porter. “No, but realistically, I’ll cry because this is insane”, said Babken Piloyan, Star Wars Fan.
Most premiere show times are sold out at theaters across the Valley. Hollis said “there are literally millions of tickets available for this weekend”.

“It’s definitely worth all the hype”, he said.
