Facebook Unlocks Livestream Marketing Stunts From Verified Pages
The famous social network has announced on its blog that brands will be able to stream live videos on Facebook.

Live-streaming seems to be working out well for Facebook. Page owners will get to see the number of viewers tuning in and also the names of other verified users or Pages watching their videos.
This means that sports teams, TV shows, bands, brands, authors, actors, everyone with a Verified Page can now start their own Live feed. Soon a comments section will also be added.
Broadcasters can carry on broadcasting live content, and need not worry about recording the event as Facebook will automatically publish the broadcast on the Pages’ Timeline.
Facebook has been under some minor pressure from Periscope and Meerkat, although their 12 million users combined pales when compared to FB’s 1.5 billion.
Verified Pages can launch live events from within the iOS app by navigating to the Page, tapping “publish” and selecting “live video”.
While Facebook Livestream feature was allowed to be used by journalists a couple of months ago, in addition to the introduction of Live Video and Collages today, here we are with real-time video marketing.
Earlier this month, Facebook began to open up Live to a small subset of its US-based iPhone users, with the goal of eventually making it available to everyone. Verification is not something one can apply for, so even users who might have a useful live broadcast will now not be able to share broadcasts on Facebook.
