Lamar Odom, ‘Jurassic Park,’ Paris: What Was 2015’s Top Google Search?

Almost two-thirds of desktop Internet queries in the USA go through Google, and the keywords and questions that users around the world feed into the search engine reflect reactions to big news stories and the zeitgeist of any given year.
It was a tragic year for the French, and this was reflected in the annual top-ten rankings from Google searches across the country. Check out the rest of the trends here!
Lastly, and most heinously, Google also managed to collect statistics for one of the most puzzling events of 2015.
Some church signs proclaim in block letters that “Google can’t satisfy every search”.
World Cups took the world by storm this year.
The Paris attacks saw a whopping 897 million searches, the highest number of searches for the country in the history of Google. This year, people wanted to discover how to use the new Snapchat update, how to make pancake mix, how to eat pomelo, and how to draw a Minion. If any of this seems foreign you can google it. Other top searches included the top athlete, Ronda Rousey, the top actor, Charlie Sheen, and the top meme going to Pepe the Frog.
Drug addiction-embattled former National Basketball Association star and honorary Kardashian Lamar Odom takes the top spot for overall searches in 2015. The company says that from the trailer alone, Star Wars generated more than 155 million searches, which still hasn’t topped the number of searches generated after Revenge of the Sith hit theaters 10 years ago.

Fourth on the worldwide listing was the film Jurassic World, adopted by Paris, “Livid 7”, “Fallout four”, Ronda Rousey, Caitlyn Jenner, and “American Sniper”.
