“The Buffett rule says that millionaires should pay at least 30 per cent income tax rates intead of 10, 15, 20 – I want to go even further”, Clinton said.
Clinton said she would defend Planned Parenthood and a woman’s right to choose as well as marriage equality. She says the presidential race changed after the terrorist attacks on Paris as well as San Bernardino California switching much of the focus on how to keep American citizens safe.
Buffett has referred to Clinton as a “hero of mine” in the past and predicted a year ago that she would succeed President Obama, whom he also supported. Congress hasn’t enacted it.
Warren Buffett’s appearance with Clinton was aimed at offering his stamp of approval to the Democrat’s economic message of inclusive capitalism and toughness against Wall Street excess.
“I’ve seen Nebraska win football games with less enthusiasm than that”, he said of the minutes-long standing ovation he received alongside Clinton.
Her comments were met with laughter from voters here, many of them University of Iowa students taking a break from studying for finals in order to attend her town hall.
Still, only 22 percent of Democrats surveyed said they would be “enthusiastic” over a Clinton candidacy, with a majority, 58 percent, saying they’d be “satisfied”. The investment guru’s annual shareholder meeting is dubbed “Woodstock for Capitalists” and drew an overflow crowd of more than 40,000 people from around the globe last spring. Her campaign said specifics of her tax plan will be released in phases over the coming weeks.
“You do not know how an act of kindness can make a big difference”.
The billionaire despaired at how “millions and millions and millions of Americans have been left behind”. He said, “I do not condemn them in any way”. The rule was named for the frugal billionaire, who favors higher taxes for the rich, and involves tax increases on those making more than $1 million a year.

“This district will be in play in 2016”, Buffett said, “and one vote could be important”. “That’s a primary reason…why I’m going to be so delighted when Secretary Clinton takes the Oval Office”.
