Sanders campaign: DNC is “attempting to undermine” campaign

The complaint, launched in federal court, comes after the campaign ripped the DNC over its handling of a voter data breach in a Friday press conference, calling their response an “inappropriate overreaction”.

Brian Burnham, assistant manager at Maya Cinemas, said the theater has been selling tickets for about two months. And while it wasn’t too busy this afternoon, Chatterly says tonights shows are already sold out.

“We immediately segregated that information … put it in a password-protected file so we could document that in fact there had been a breach – because we were very concerned that large amounts of our own data was being downloaded – and we contacted the DNC to remedy the situation”, he said. It’s the latest dust-up involving the DNC and the three major Democratic presidential campaigns.

“The leadership of the Democratic National Committee is now actively attempting to undermine our campaign”, Jeff Weaver, Sanders’ campaign manager, told a Washington news conference.

On Dec. 4, Turkey reinforced the force protection component of its units in the camp due to increasing threats to their security. Their conversation came after Turkish troops were wounded when a training base in northern Iraq was hit by Daesh on Wednesday.

The company that manages the master file says the breach happened on Wednesday; Sanders and his workers won’t be able to see the master list until it can prove that Clinton’s campaign info wasn’t ruined and explain to DNC officials why the breach happened.

“We were informed that our proprietary data was breached by Sanders campaign staff in 25 searches by four different accounts and that this data was saved into the Sanders’ campaign account”, Hillary for America National Press Secretary Brian Fallon said in a statement Friday.

Then he accused the committee of using the incident to choke off the “lifeblood” of the Sanders campaign in order to boost Clinton’s bid. The person was not authorized to speak publicly and spoke on condition of anonymity.

The Sanders camp fired the staffer who breached Clinton’s files and Weaver said he was running a clean campaign.

The DNC has revoked the Sanders’ campaigns credentials to access the data until an investigation has been conducted.

The Sanders campaign will remain suspended until it provides the DNC with a full explanation of the episode and provides proof that any accessed data has been discarded.

The Washington Post first reported the issue.

“That was spontaneous by the way”, said RoseAnn DeMoro, director of National Nurses United, adding that the union has been canvassing and phone banking for Sanders and will continue to support him and that they will be canvassing in New Hampshire for the debate.

“To get to the bottom of it we are going to ask the Sanders campaign to participate in an independent audit”, she said. “That behaviour is unacceptable and that staffer was immediately fired”.

While Uretsky has taken responsibility for the incident, he didn’t believe the DNC would think he violated any rules.

“I didn’t believe at the time that I did it that they would believe what I was doing was wrong”, he said in the interview. “I hope they will agree to that”.

Stu Trevelyan, chief executive officer of DNC software vendor NGP VAN, acknowledged the breach in a statement and called it a “brief isolated issue” that was fixed and is now being reviewed.

The vendor was instructed “to identify any users who accessed data, the actions they took in the system, and to report their findings to Party and affected campaigns”.

The Bernie Sanders campaign just filed a federal lawsuit against the Democratic National Committee after its chair, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, revoked access to the DNC’s voter files.

While Uretsky said he was only trying to investigate a software error in the NGP VAN system, Bloomberg Politicsreports that NGP VAN learned of the error from “a third party”, not the Sanders campaign.
