‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ explodes to $100 million for Friday record

They have been waiting a decade to see Star Wars episode seven come alive. Costumed, lightsaber-wielding fans have lined up around blocks, from Jakarta to Paris, to be among the first to see “The Force Awakens” (and hopefully avoid any spoilers from its intensely guarded plot). “We just have a lot of love for the movie, and the whole universe really”, one fan said.
