Warriors fight back, beat Bucks 121-112

With his team trailing by 11 points with under eight minutes left, Green completed a 3-point play and scored on an alley-oop layup before tipping a rebound to a teammate and getting the ball back for a transition 3-pointer.

“I’m not satisfied because I thought we should have been better”, Green said.

“For us, we’ve kind of shaped it as a big game”.

The two teams met earlier this season and Milwaukee did what no other team could do this season – get a big win over the defending champions.

If the Golden State Warriors treat the Bucks as if they are the Spurs or the Cavs they should not have any issues. The Warriors were able to hold on from there despite being held to 9-for-26 on their trademark 3-point shooting. Friday night, Steph Curry and company will have an opportunity to avenge the only blemish on their 25-1 record when they host the Bucks. The game doesn’t tip until 10:30 p.m. ET in Oakland, but Warriors supporters have already one-upped Bucks fans as part of an ongoing battle.

“But we know when we come home we still have to bring intensity and be sharp and even more focused than we are on the road because people want to come in here and defeat us”. “The evening almost ended in a fight, however, when Green and Bucks reserve guard O.J. Mayo exchanged words near the Golden State bench as the teams exited the court. We’ve just got to come out and play hard”.

“They took the time out to waste money on the T-shirt, which is cool”, Bucks coach Jason Kidd said. And to be honest, I’m not really focused on that.

Thompson, who improved on his prior season-best of 39 at IN eight days ago, was playing just his second game since spraining his right ankle late IN that win over the Pacers.

Stephen Curry tied the game with three free throws, and the teams went back-and-forth with Curry giving the Warriors a 108-106 advantage after a pretty move to get to the rim. Green hit a free throw and then had his seventh assist of the game, feeding Festus Ezeli for a dunk that gave the Warriors a 103-102 lead. “They cheer us on and we feed of that energy”, he said.

Curry finished with 26 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists, scoring six straight points for the Warriors before Andre Iguodala finished off the Bucks with a 3-pointer that made it 115-108 with 1:21 left. Small forward Giannis Antetokounmpo backed Carter-Williams with 20 points for Milwaukee, which had lost to the Los Angeles Lakers and Clippers to begin a four-game Western swing. The Pistons scored the first seven points of the fourth OT and hung on.

The Bucks continue to list center Greg Monroe as doubtful for Friday’s game. Warriors C Andrew Bogut strained his back in the first quarter and did not play after the sixth minute of the game.
