Guus Hiddink arrives London, begins talks with Chelsea
Hiddink, who has already had one spell as Chelsea boss, winning the FA Cup in 2009, is yet to sign a contract.

Hiddink is probably wise to take his time over his decision as he has to be certain what he is walking into after all the apparent upheaval behind the scenes – Chelsea’s technical director Michael Emenalo cited “palpable discord” between the manager and the players – during Mourinho’s last few months in charge.
“Whether or not I’m visiting their next match depends on my first conversation”.
Well-travelled Dutch veteran Hiddink is viewed as the flawless antidote to the dressing-room discontent that has coincided with Chelsea’s decline from defending champions into relegation battlers.
Allardyce, who described Chelsea’s demise this season as “staggering”, added: “The encouraging thing is that Bournemouth have just beaten Manchester United and Chelsea and Newcastle have just beaten Liverpool and Tottenham, so on that basis if you play our very best on the day you can get a result in the Premier League”. A previous Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti said he has not been contacted by the club over the vacant role but is anyway in the frame to replace Guardiola at Bayern.
The federation stated: “Guus Hiddink has taken temporary charge at struggling EPL giant Chelsea after the club announced they’d sacked coach Jose Mourinho overnight following the club’s disastrous run in the English Premier League”.
Terry expressed his regret at Mourinho’s exit on social media on Friday morning, posting on Instagram: “Thank you doesn’t seem enough”.
Ahead of the game: The Socceroos announce the appointment of Hiddink on Twitter on Friday. “I will leave that to the interim coaches”, said Hiddink.
“He would be the one person I would say would be absolutely ideal to come in to the end of the season and straighten them out”, he told talkSPORT.
“I want to gain some good insights on that before I make my decision”.
It is understood the constructive dismissal claim includes the possibility of Carneiro being reinstated if Mourinho left the club, but no moves have yet been made to explore that situation taking place.

Chelsea said that Mourinho “will always remain a much-loved, respected and significant figure at Chelsea” and “will always be warmly welcomed back to Stamford Bridge”.
