Singh further reiterated that the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) and the government doesn’t interfere in the working of the CBI.

“The raid was conducted to look for the files of DDCA (Delhi and District Cricket Association), in which Jaitley is involved in graft cases”, Kejriwal claimed.

“Kejriwal has been all the time been preventing towards corruption and I’ve all the time informed Arvind to have individuals of excellent character round him”.

The confrontation between Delhi’s ruling AAP and the Centre yesterday intensified with Chief Minister and AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal levelling fresh allegations that the CBI has been asked to “target” the opposition and “finish those who don’t fall in line”.

“(Delhi CM) Seems to believe in untruth and defamation, delivered in a language that borders on hysteria”, Jaitley wrote.

Union minister Smriti Irani said: “Political hysteria is being created to deflect attention from a corrupt officer. Isn’t it an attempt to discourage officers who are working with Chief Minister Kejriwal?” he questioned. “Kejriwal and BJP are blaming each other over the CBI raid on Rajenders office and the checking of files in Kejriwals chambers”.

Rawat said five other CBI officials sat inside his office adjacent to Kumar’s and showed him the court search warrant and asked him to furnish several files on cabinet decisions and documents related to the PSU. BJP demanded that Kejriwal must apologise for his remarks against Modi. Kejriwal again re-tweeted and said: “Agree”.
