Fast-forward two months and the situation couldn’t be more different as they prepare to host the Cleveland Browns on Sunday afternoon. The Browns are coming off a win and would enjoy playing spoiler to a top NFC squad. He is also the only quarterback in the Super Bowl era to compile a four-game streak with a passer rating of at least 135.0 and 20 attempts in each game. It’s no secret they like to run the football, this week it’s just a matter of who is going to run it?

With the Seahawks questionable running game until Marshawn gets back and the way Wilson and Baldwin and co are playing, it wouldn’t be a shock to see the Seahawks pass to set up the run to start the Browns game. When Bennett slides inside to tackle, Schwartz will see a lot of end Cliff Avril, who has 7.5 sacks. Tom Cable just may be the team MVP for the work he has done with a line that now looks as dominant as any in the NFL. They had some good possession wideouts, but nobody who had Pryor’s skillset and could truly be a game-breaker.
Since he arrived in the NFL, Russell Wilson has meticulously shaped his career, from the tweets sent, to the hours of study at the Seattle Seahawks practice facility, to the catchphrases repeated weekly. One can argue that the 49ers didn’t actually present any sort of visible defense to Manziel or the rest of the Browns offense last week, but the win got people excited and a strong performance, and dare I say a win, in Seattle will only increase his chances of being this team’s quarterback.
While Sunday’s game between the Browns and Seahawks isn’t exactly a sexy matchup, comparisons between the teams’ quarterbacks keep coming. That will leave Kelcie McCray to fill in again.

Manziel will be responsible for making the best of a hard situation. It also means that Mike Pettine will save his job. Manziel is a wildcard.
