Tyson Fury Faces No Police Action Over Comments
The boxer denied he was a homophobe while also insisting he was “uniting the world”, but the BBBofC has confirmed to Press Association Sport that it informed Fury on Wednesday night, following a meeting to discuss the matter, that it wanted to discuss his comments at a date still to be confirmed.

However, they have decided that Mr Fury will receive no police action and the comments have been recorded as a “hate incident” rather than a hate crime.
Greater Manchester Police later told the BBC that no criminal charges would be made against Fury.
A member of the public lodged a complaint against the world heavyweight champion earlier this week after Fury once again aired his views on homosexuality.
Fury was fined £3,000 by the British boxing board of control for that outburst, and was appearing before them on Thursday to explain recent comments regarding homosexuals.
Mr Fury has faced criticism over comments about women, saying Jessica Ennis-Hill “looks good in a dress”, and saying that his wife’s job is “cooking and cleaning and looking after these kids, that’s it”.
Fury caused widespread outrage when he equated homosexuality with paedophilia in a Mail on Sunday interview and said that the legalisation of homosexuality was a sign the devil was returning to earth. “The bible tells me the end is near”.
“As Fury became heavyweight champion of the world over the weekend, the panel feel that he should be a contender for this year’s award”.
He added: “I don’t agree with everything that some people say”.
“This is something I’m sure the BBC are taking incredibly seriously and it’s something they are going to have to look at and make a decision on”. I’ve not been following it. If they take the belt off me then obviously I want my sanctioning fees back because there’s no point in paying for a belt I’m not having.
Tyson Fury says he is not bothered by the IBF’s decision to strip him of his belt.
‘I believe a woman’s best place is in the kitchen. The journalist, who is gay, also wrote on Facebook that he is “ashamed” to work for the BBC due to their insistence that the award should be judged on sporting achievements alone.

Fury was also stripped of his IBF world heavyweight title on Tuesday after organising a rematch with Klitschko, instead of the organisation’s mandatory challenger Vyacheslav Glazkov.
