‘Dilwale’ is for masses, ‘Bajirao Mastani’ for the class audience, say distributors
The film has seen good appreciation and that is further translating in good footfalls, especially amongst the elite. “I have not watched Dilwale yet and I’m really very excited about watching it. I will watch the film in a theatre tomorrow night with four of my friends who are coming down from Bangalore”. So, while the hype surrounding the movie quite literally had everyone talking about it months before its eventual release, the final day 1 tally is great.

In one of the biggest box office clashes in the history of Bollywood, Khan and Bhansali presented their fares to the audience on December 18.
Directed by Rohit Shetty, the romantic drama also stars Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon in lead roles. It’s one of the worst finale that Hindi Cinema has witnessed in recent times.
Another Box Office India finding qualifies that “Bajirao Mastani” earnings are still below those of this year’s biggest Bollywood blockbusters “Bajrangi Bhaijaan” and “Prem Ratan Dhan Payo”. Prem Ratan Dhan Payo acquired tremendous momentum from first day’s gigantic take of Rs 40.35 crore burnishing Salman Khan’s reputation further. In overseas too, “Dilwale” has scored an edge over “Bajirao Mastani”, barring some parts of the US. Sooraj Barjatiya’s movie is one of the top grossers of the year. The only thing going for both Dilwale and Bajirao Mastani is that Christmas is fast approaching and that should give them both some much needed relief in terms of getting seats filled in theatres. The Movie receiving good words of mouth from the audience at box office till 2nd day shows.
According to the latest reports, Ranveer Singh’s Bajirao Mastani has got the massive opening at the box office with positive reviews from critics and public and The tickets for the next 5 days have already been solded out in main cities.
