Colorado’s unemployment rate ticked down two-tenths of a percentage point to 3.6 percent in November, the state reported Friday. Unemployment fell by 204 persons for the month, a 0.3 percent decrease.
The figure also was below the 6 percent unemployment rate recorded in November 2014. Ohio’s nonagricultural wage and salary employment increased 9,900 over the month, from a revised 5,427,100 in October to 5,437,000 in November 2015.
The state’s rate has been tracking below the national rate, which was 5 percent in October and remained unchanged last month.

Boulder County ‘s 2.8 percent jobless rate in November edged up from 2.7 percent in October but was down from 3.4 percent in November a year ago.
Despite economic headwinds including a strong dollar and lagging crop prices that have led to layoffs in the states smaller cities and towns, the state unemployment rate held steady in November at 2.9 percent, the same as it was in October. It remained at more than 8 percent from September 2009 through February 2012.
South Carolina’s latest unemployment reading is a 14-year low. Manufacturing continued its long, steady decline, but the drop in entertainment, amounting to more than 5 percent of the sector’s total workforce, was a surprise, especially considering that ramped up state incentives have been credited with keeping productions from leaving the state. Wilcox County in western Alabama has the highest unemployment at 13.5 percent.
