One wounded by gunfire in Wisconsin shopping mall

Witnesses say a group of young men began fighting in the middle of the mall at around 2:50 p.m. One pulled out a handgun and fired at least one round.

A 19-year-old man who was part of the initial dispute was struck.

One person was shot and suffered non life-threatening injuries, according to the Wisconsin State Journal.

“It’s been described to me as a fairly chaotic scene, as you might imagine with what has gone on in Paris and California”, Despain said, referring to recent terror attacks.

A notice posted on its website says: “The mall is temporarily closed due to a safety concern.” there’s no word on whether or not the mall re-open at this time.

Officers have since cleared the 840,000-square-foot shopping center with more than 100 retailers, and were searching for a suspect, DeSpain said.
