Adam Driver hid Star Wars identity from wife

The Force Awakens is a movie that puts an end to an era in Star Wars history and Driver’s character is in the very middle of it all.

No doubt the announcement of Adam’s hosting gig comes at a great time for the star as Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens is on target for a record-breaking opening weekend shattering box office numbers to rake in $250 million just in North America.

Adam definitely has comedic chops – he has starred on Girls since 2012 and has received three Emmy nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. ‘But on this [Star Wars] we got free meals, which is good.

Other cast members attending the event included Peter Mayhew, who plays wookiee Chewbacca.

Star Wars costumes are not famous for their comfort or ease of use, which is why the franchise has so many jokes about a stormtrooper getting a concussion.

His dry humour was also out in force: in contrast to the frenzied fans surrounding him, he was calm, deadpan, and seemed mildly amused by all the fuss.

There are two important through-lines in the Star Wars mythos: the sins of the father theme established in Empire Strikes Back and concluded in Return Of The Jedi, and the idea of Luke Skywalker as being torn between the legacy of Obi-Wan Kenobi, the father he never had, and Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader, the father he never knew.

He was present in the United Kingdom premiere of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” in Leicester Square, London with his wife Joanne Tucker.
