Colts’ Andrew Luck: Colts hope can return against Houston

That will put plenty of pressure on the run game.

The Colts upcoming game against the Texans is the most significant game left on their schedule as the two teams are tied for first place in the division. We did that in the second half. Both teams are 5-8 but the Jaguars will still be in the division title hunt if they beat the Falcons. Rookie Rashad Greene returned a punt 73 yards for a score.

Bortles took over after that and led the Jaguars on three consecutive long scoring drives. It was Bortles’ 10th touchdown pass in three weeks, the most ever by a Jaguars quarterback ever during a three-game stretch. That’s where I think their hopes get erased. The Jaguars offense has some tremendous play makers in Allen Robinson and Allen Hurns{ as a Seminoles fan we can not forget Reshade Greene!}. That’s the part that I’m really excited about. This will mark the first of three straight divisional games to close the regular season for the Texans. The Jags beat Miami 62-7 in the 1999 postseason. Soon. The Colts are in a swoon. The finalists, featuring four players from each conference, are Justin Forsett, Matt Forte, Luke Kuechly, Matt Hasselbeck, Calvin Johnson, Jason McCourty, Joe Staley and Charles Woodson. A week ago, Blake Bortles threw for over 300 yards and five touchdown passes but Jaguars running backs T.J. Yeldon and Denard Robinson combined for just 59 yards on 12 carries.

Pagano said Hasselbeck was in a sling Monday due to a rib injury that has caused spasms that make it hard for him to breathe.

If I were giving out a game ball or naming a player of the game, I’d give it to Andre Branch. Three out of the last four games in the series have been decided by seven points or less.

But in Indianapolis, there are bigger concerns than who plays and who doesn’t. With that said, what are reasonable expectations for this team for the rest of the season?

“I have not heard anything from our trainers or doctors on (Luck returning to practice this week)”, Pagano said on Monday.

The remainder of the Colts’ season looks bleak.

Marshall has been looking impressive enough in practice that the Jaguars gave him an extensive look as nickel back in the 51-16 victory over Indianapolis. “You can climb from the bottom of the valley to the mountaintop, it can be done”.

“We’ve got three games left”. We can turn this thing. Honestly, the Colts might only be an average football team with Luck in the lineup. This was a team that was once 2-4 and seemed on another rocky course toward another season of irrelevance.

“Throwing felt great”, Luck said.

The Indianapolis Colts have been the pace setters, even as they’ve been outscored by a whopping 81 points this season, and remain in first at 6-7.

“We need to find that switch and hit it”, Mathis said. When you win, everything’s all right. “I feel like we can do this every week if we want to”. “We do too much stupid stuff”. The Colts’ previous loss against the AFC South came on December 16, 2012, at Houston. We’ve just got to keep fighting.

Injuries certainly took their toll this week, and not just the most obvious one. Whatever we messed up this week, we have to get better at it. Andrew Luck, that’s our leader. “Our defense was playing well so we had to match them”. Marshall allowed a 57-yard pass to Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton, but settled down and made some progress. Indianapolis QB Matt Hasselback was injured a couple times in the game.

After taking over in the closing minutes and marching to the Kansas City goal line, Rivers threw incomplete twice on the final two plays of the game.
