Police officer illegally enters woman’s home and arrests her naked

Arizona woman Esmeralda Rossi said she felt “violated” and “molested” when police officer Doug Rose came into her Chandler home while she was in the shower.

Rossi says she dealt with officers at the front door, but clad in only a towel, she felt “helpless and violated” during the episode, which was filmed by her teenage daughter and posted online, the newspaper reports. “And honestly, I felt molested”.

Esmeralda Rossi said Mr Rose entered her home and cuffed her without explanation.

That’s when Rossi and her daughter began recording the incident on their cellphones.

Rose then arrests Rossi, later un-arresting her without charging her with any crime.

A police officer in the United States is being investigated after a video has emerged of him arresting a naked woman in her home.

Police records show that investigators believed Rossi was trying to agitate Rose.

But the woman filed a complaint with internal affairs, which determined he did a number of things wrong, including forcing himself into her home.

Police turned up to the address after receiving a 911 call after she had an argument with her estranged husband at his home.

When she answered the door, there were two Chandler Police officers.

Rose is later heard in the video lecturing an audibly distraught Rossi, telling her “When a cop shows up… you’re not the one in charge”.

The other officer on the clip, David Selvidge, went to his supervisor to note concerns about Rose’s actions.

“This was not the proper treatment of a citizen,” Marc Victor, Rossi’s attorney, told the TV station.

The officer did not document arresting the woman, or the fact she was naked. “This was disgusting. This was barbaric.”

“Any one of us would be upset if a police officer barged into our homes without permission”, he added. She had a right to be upset.’. The second officer was later cleared of wrongdoing, as was Rossi.

There was also no video from his body camera for the call.
