Danish prince rescued from Aussie surf
Prince Frederick, Christian’s father, personally thanked the lifeguards for the rescue as the situation had the potential to be a lot worse.

Seven News reported yesterday that Mr Malcolm, who according to his Facebook profile attended Rangitoto College, paddled his board out to pull Prince Christian to safety, after spotting him in trouble.
The eldest son of Denmark’s Princess Mary and Crown Prince Frederik has been rescued from the surf on the Gold Coast after being caught in a rip.
A Kiwi lifeguard from Auckland’s North Shore has saved the life of the heir to the Danish throne.
“We got him before it got too serious, but he wouldn’t have come back in”, said Keay of the incident, which occurred on Thursday.
Following the rescue, a fearless Christian has reportedly already returned to Mermaid Beach for another swim.
“He’s kept it pretty quiet, I’m sure we’ll give him plenty of stick now we know”, said fellow lifeguard Shane Pierce.
‘They just get back on the beach and do it again’.
The Danish royal family have been in Australia the past week visiting Mary’s family.
They touched down in Perth on December 6 to visit Mary’s Perth-based brother John Donaldson, who is the godfather to Prince Vincent, four, in what’s been a private and understated visit to date.

Tasmanian-born Princess Mary was also spotted shopping with her two girls, princesses Josephine and Isabella, at the Marina Mirage shopping precinct on Saturday.
