Boxer Tyson Fury Stripped Of Title, Investigated By Police
Fury was the mandatory challenger of the WBA and WBO, and the IBF said it reminded him two days after his title win that the mandatory defense of its heavyweight belt was next in line.

It followed a November interview with the Mail On Sunday in which Fury said: “There are only three things that need to be accomplished before the devil comes home: one of them is homosexuality being legal in countries, one of them is abortion and the other one’s paedophilia”. “That’s what the Bible tells me”.
But the Olympic and world long jump champion said he has gone back on his decision to pull out of the ceremony after discussions with the BBC and his family.
“If the BBC keeps him on the list, then all sports people will think ‘we can say what we like and we’ll still be selected, ‘” she added.
He went on: “Jesus loves me, and he loves you too. he loves everybody in the world”.
Fury told Sky television on Thursday: “I have no hate for anybody. I haven’t got any enemies, I don’t hate any race, colour, creed, generation – nobody”.
Famed promoter Kellie Maloney believes heavyweight champion Tyson Fury will struggle for endorsements after making controversial remarks.
He retains two other versions of the heavyweight title, one from the World Boxing Association and another from the World Boxing Organization. We’ve got Jamaicans in there, Pakistanis, Indians, Christians, Muslims.
“What about that? Why don’t they broadcast that?”
Fury had said: “I’m not sexist”.
“We don’t hear about that do we?”
A GMP spokesman said the complainant, reported to be Ian Sawyer from Manchester, contacted them after watching Tyson’s uncle and trainer being interviewed on BBC’s The Victoria Derbyshire Show about his nephew’s views.
As opposition to him grows, Fury has abandoned such impressive rhetoric in favour of saying God is about to come and judge us all. “We’re all God’s children”.
Fury, who is of traveller heritage and styles himself as the “Gypsy King”, added: “Must hurt that a gypsy is the best fighter on the planet!”
Fury could yet face action from the British Boxing Board of Control who are meeting this week to discuss his comments.
Police have meanwhile launched a hate crime investigation into the boxer following comments made about homosexuality on the BBC’s Victoria Derbyshire programme, although Fury found an ally in the gay and human rights activist Peter Tatchell who described the inquiry as “excessive and unwarranted”.
Fury has labelled that a “joke” and instead suggested he should file a complaint for abuse he claims he has received.

“I was very lucky because Lennox Lewis was a flawless gentleman, who never offended anybody”, said Maloney.
