“It could take hours or days before I say yes or no. The news is fresh”.
Guus Hiddink was named as Chelsea’s new manager by his former employers in Australia on Friday – before any official announcement from the Barclays Premier League club.
Former Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas was forced to fend off rumours of dressing room revolts against Mourinho earlier in the season.
Guus Hiddink wants to take a good look at Chelsea and their current predicament before accepting the interim manager’s job for a second time.
Chelsea confirmed Mourinho’s departure in a statement on Thursday afternoon.
Hiddink is probably wise to take his time over his decision as he has to be certain what he is walking into after all the apparent upheaval behind the scenes – Chelsea’s technical director Michael Emenalo cited “palpable discord” between the manager and the players – during Mourinho’s last few months in charge.
“The Premier League’s a better place when he’s in it, surely”.
“They did it in style, and they did it by showing commitment, and by sweat and blood, tears and blood for the club, when needed”.
“If they change the manager nothing’s going to really change, they’re going to finish mid-table perhaps, so why change the manager?” In the Champions League, however, he never got past the semifinals.
“Some people are saying they weren’t shocked by this decision – I was”.
“All at Chelsea thank Jose for his huge contribution since he returned as manager in the summer of 2013”.
In his first spell at Chelsea, Mourinho won two league titles, two League Cups and one FA Cup.
“But both Jose and the board agreed results have not been good enough this season and believe it is in the best interests of both parties to go our separate ways”.
Chelsea released a statement saying that they wished “to make clear José leaves us on good terms”.
Mourinho nonetheless retains robust help from the Chelsea fanbase however Russian billionaire Abramovich will maintain talks together with his closest advisors on the membership, in accordance with the.
“The club’s focus is now on ensuring our talented squad reaches its potential”. Aguero’s return would be timely for City boss Manuel Pellegrini, who once again had to endure speculation this week that Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola is being lined up to replace him at the end of the season.
“I spent some time watching him in training during his time at Real Madrid and I was really impressed with his work and his man-management”. Mourinho had claimed after the Leicester loss that he had been “betrayed” by his players and, with that in mind, it will be fascinating to see how Chelsea’s underachieving stars perform now.

But if results don’t improve quickly under Mourinho’s replacement it will be harder to reject the idea that the west London team are in deep trouble.
