Van Gaal is reportedly facing a race against time to save his job after United suffered a third consecutive defeat in all competitions, surprisingly beaten 2-1 at home to Norwich City on Sunday (AEDT).
He added: “Old Trafford supporters want their Manchester United back and I’m afraid it increasingly looks like Van Gaal is not he man to do it”. Asked if he feared for his position van Gaal said yes of course he did.
“We had done that this week and that is the only way, but now we have to evaluate what we have done here and how we have prepared for this match”.
Neil saluted Norwich City’s Yellow Army after delivering an early Christmas present with an historic first-ever Premier League win at Manchester United.
Daily Telegraph: Jose Mourinho does not believe Cesc Fabregas was one of the Chelsea players who had stopped playing for him and the midfielder is determined to win over the Stamford Bridge boo boys.
He said: “We need them more than ever now”. I think it became pretty glum, if you like, under David Moyes and it was unfortunate. We have played well in certain games but not got our just rewards.
‘The only thing we can do now is stick together and hope that we get the win in the next game because we need it, ‘ Mata said.
It is understood that a further defeat at either Stoke on Boxing Day or against Chelsea at Old Trafford next Monday will signal the end for the former Ajax, Barcelona and Bayern Munich coach at the midway stage of his three-year contract as United manager. Listen, the players in the dressing room aren’t hiding behind anyone.

“We might be playing well, or playing well in patches, or not scoring or whatever it may be, but we need to stick together and us as players need to take responsibility for that”. We will always take our strength from the team collectively, whereas the bigger teams have got individuals who and win games on their own.
