Seattle Seahawks Getting Bryce Brown Back

Carroll said after the game it remains unclear when Lynch could return.

“Being on the road, it’s going to be real important, obviously”, Carroll said.

Coach Pete Carroll said they are not going to alter their traditional run/pass balance, no matter who is getting the snaps at running back.

Baltimore trailed 14-6 at halftime, but Seattle quarterback Russell Wilson threw three second-half touchdown passes and finished with five for the game.

The final game may provide awkwardness for both teams: If the Cardinals and Seahawks each win their next two, the game, depending on Carolina continuing to win, will have no meaning for either team because a win or loss would not alter their playoff positions. However, he ended up rolling his ankle and was quickly ruled out of the game.

Wilson is hanging in the pocket when needed, and is as accurate as ever on the quicker timing routes the Seahawks began to emphasize during their bye week.

Carroll told Seattle Times that he is glad to see Brown again in their team.

His five touchdown passes were the most glittering of his many gaudy stats against the Ravens.

Wilson has also tied his season-high for touchdowns with 26. Quarterback Russell Wilson is playing at an MVP level over the last month.

Wilson’s past four games have been remarkable. His favorite target, wide receiver Doug Baldwin, bounced back from a costly drop in the second quarter against the Ravens with a three touchdown receptions. Brown spent a handful of weeks with Seattle earlier this season when Lynch was out. He’s thrown for 1,171 yards, completed 75.4 percent of his throws, thrown 16 touchdowns and had zero interceptions.

Seattle (8-5) played most of the game without standout rookie running back Thomas Rawls, who broke his left ankle in the first quarter and is out for the season. Harris had 18 carries for 42 yards and a fumble in the red zone that could cost him his chance to start if Lynch cannot play. Not efficient (only 3.4 yards per carry), but they still rushed for 123 yards, and it’ll be interesting to see whether Lynch suddenly comes back from his abdomen injury now that Rawls isn’t going to play anymore this season.

Joe Flacco, who is out for the year with a knee injury, might not be ready for the start of the 2016 season.

It is not just his ability to produce that has led the Seahawks this season though. He hasn’t had as much as a single tryout since being suspended by the National Football League and released by the Ravens.

Michael Bennett and Cliff Avril again wreaked havoc up front, each credited with four quarterback hits.

An effective running game is crucial for any team’s playoff run. The passing game doesn’t look to be slowing down right now, but the Seahawks will still need a running game to keep opposing defenses honest.

The simple, unchanging fact: The Seahawks were built as a run-first team and will remain that way. The 5-7 Giants are still in the mix for the NFC East, but won’t play until Monday night.
